Beer, especially popular brands like Bud Light, Coors Light, Bud, and Corona Extra, is as American as apple pie and baseball.

You may have a favourite among these brews if you've ever cracked open a renowned bottle or can.

There was pressure on AB InBev, the parent firm of Budweiser, and other major brewers in 2014 to reveal their proprietary formulas.

Water, barley malt, hops, and yeast are the basic constituents in beer, but rice is the odd man out in Bud.

According to Mashed, Budweiser maintains that this provides the beer a "crisp, clean finish."
