The First Step in NASA's Moon Mission Begins with a Crucial Test Flight

In preparation for a manned mission to the moon by the decade's end, NASA is set to launch the mission's first stage.

A gigantic unmanned rocket is scheduled to blast off from Kennedy Space Center on Monday morning.

Orbit the moon on a path that takes it far into space, and then return to Earth 42 days later.

NASA and the space industry have reached a pivotal juncture with the launch of Artemis I.

The goal of the Artemis programme is to send a woman and a person of colour to the moon as soon as 2025.

Artemis is the Greek mythological sister of Apollo.
