National Cinema Day is being launched by the NATO-affiliated Cinema Foundation. Over 3,000 theatres provide $3 tickets to everyone. The average U.S. movie ticket in 2019 was $9.16.
AMC and Regal Cinemas intend to offer $3 movie tickets in every format, including IMAX and 4D. Top August movies include "The Invitation," "Bullet Train," "Beast," and "Top Gun Maverick."
Cinemark Theatres offers $3 movie tickets, drinks, candy, and popcorn.
