The 2022 Cup Series has seen a number of Next Gen car issues for NASCAR.
According to reports, drivers are taking harsher strikes inside their automobiles, and there have been many incidents of cars catching fire.
At the Southern 500 on Sunday, Kevin Harvick's vehicle experienced this.
Harvick remarked, "I'm sure it's simply the shoddy components on the racing vehicle like we've seen so many times.
"We haven't made any repairs. Similar to the safety precautions, we just let the automobile to continue to run until it caught fire.
On Tuesday, NASCAR's Senior VP of Competition Scott Miller acknowledged that the cars catching fire is "unacceptable" and that there are problems that need to be resolved.
