During anti-draft rallies in Russia, President Vladimir Putin reportedly fled to his hidden palatial compound near Lake Valdai, about halfway between Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Three persons acquainted with Putin's itinerary were quoted by independent journalist Farida Rusamova who said that the Russian president had left .

According to a Telegram message by his wife, he has been relaxing his "body and soul" in the posh compound hidden in the woods.

The three-story spa structure has a float pool, mud bath, and individual beauty salon, as reported by MailOnline.

While details about the mysterious house are few, the Anti-Corruption Foundation, which was established by the now-incarcerated Russian campaigner Alexei Navalny.

Navalny's group says that Putin's personal banker, millionaire Yuri Kovalchuk, is a co-owner of the property.
