Phil Mickelson of LIV Golf makes a forceful PGA Tour declaration

Throughout his career, renowned golfer Phil Mickelson has never been afraid to say what he thinks. This past week, he kept that tradition by speaking with ESPN.

Mickelson left the PGA Tour in favour of LIV Golf, which is supported by the Saudi Arabian government, claiming that LIV "is here to say" and that the Tour would never be the same again.

"For the past twenty to thirty years, all of the world's top players have competed on the PGA Tour. That won't happen ever again.

After the first round of the LIV tournament in Chicago on Friday, Mickelson declared, "LIV Golf is here to stay.

Mickelson provided some suggestions about how to defuse the present tensions between the rival golf circuits.

"Uniting as a group is the best course of action. I believe that the PGA Tour's historical "history of the game" merchandise is necessary for the professional golf industry.
