North Carolina high school stabbing kills one, injures another

Four days into the new school year, a student at a high school in North Carolina was stabbed, authorities said, and the incident resulted in the kid's death as well as the injury of another student.

Just after seven in the morning, cops were sent to Northside High School after receiving reports of a violent confrontation involving students on the school's campus, according to the Director 

of Public Safety in Jacksonville, Mike Yaniero.
According to Yaniero, the first school resource officer who responded was on the scene within twenty seconds and brought a student into custody.

Yaniero said that two students were taken to the hospital, but he also stated that "one of them died to his injuries." Neither of the minors is being named at this time.

According to the authorities, another member of the crew suffered injuries but was not stabbed.

On the first day of the new academic year, students at Northside High School, which is located in the Onslow County School District, made their way back to class.
