Martial arts manoeuvre used to kill would-be thief on SI

The NYPD is looking into the death of an alleged would-be robber who was killed early on Sunday morning after an altercation with two men on Staten Island,

during which he was allegedly struck with a martial arts technique. At before 2:00 a.m., officers were sent to the intersection of Pacific Avenue and St. Albans Place in

Eltingville in response to a 911 call reporting a robbery in progress at gunpoint.
A 33-year-old male was found unresponsive and unconscious by responding cops.

According to initial reports, a guy in his 30s approached two males in his late 20s, brandished a weapon, and demanded cash.

After a struggle broke out, the two guys managed to physically detain the armed suspect and take the gun from him, as reported by authorities.

The guy with the gun lost consciousness during the battle.
Fake gun found at the location.
So yet, police have been unable to make any arrests.
