The NASCAR Playoff field will be reduced from 16 to 12 after Saturday night's Cup Series race at Bristol.
While Christopher Bell, the points leader, is secure and can rest easy this week, Kevin Harvick, the defending champion, is in 16th place and has some ground to make up.
Harvick is surrounded by three other drivers below the cutoff line: Kyle Busch (two-time winner), Austin Dillon of Richard Childress (minus-3),
and Chase Briscoe of Stewart Haas (nine points behind the line) (two points below the line).
