LIV Golf is being crushed by the PGA Tour in the broadcasting war

John Hawkins observed that there was no contest when comparing the rival tours' Sunday efforts on the tiny screen, from distribution to the booth.

Switching to a golf tournament last weekend offered a certain therapeutic appeal after my football team blew a 21-point lead in the fourth quarter

and lost at home to a team that has made the NFL playoffs three times in the 21st century, which may be the nicest thing anyone has ever said about the LIV Golf televisual experience.

When your favourite baseball team is unable to stop the forward pass, Sunday afternoons may get pretty frustrating.

However, there is no such agony when it comes to a 54-hole competition with a shotgun start and pointless end.

My mental equilibrium had not improved enough for me to consider watching the NFL's Sunday night presentation while still reeling from the 469 yards and six touchdowns we gave up through the air.
