The hair of a ground worker at the airport in New Orleans died in an accident on Tuesday as she was unloading an aeroplane, according to officials.
An employee of GAT Airline Ground Support named Jermani Thompson passed away after being taken to the hospital, according to the airport.
Around 10 p.m., Thompson was servicing a Frontier Airlines flight, according to the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
She was unloading a flight when her hair became trapped in the belt loader's gear, according to GAT Airline Ground Support CEO Mike Hough.
We are saddened and doing everything we can to help her family and friends, he added.
Dolliole stated in a written statement that "Jermani was a part of our airport family, and we will continue to support one another in any manner we can at this tough time."
