At the Notah Begay junior golf tournament, the Woods family enjoyed a pleasant weekend, but Charlie Woods had the finest day of his developing golf career.
Charlie Woods shot a 68 on Sunday at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, with Tiger Woods acting as his caddy. It was his highest golf tournament score to date.
The score was also a great improvement over his performance of 80 on Saturday. However, he went four under par on Sunday thanks to an eagle, four birdies, and two bogeys.
Golf enthusiasts loved to see little Charlie succeeding so well. The possibility that he may emulate his well-known father caused them even greater elation:
Since Charlie Woods and his father participated in the PNC Championship last year, his fledgling career has attracted increasing attention.
The father-son team came up two strokes short of defeating John Daly and John Daly II.
