It was deemed appropriate by Kyle Busch's employer that the two-time Cup Series champion join Richard Childress Racing on Tuesday in honour of the late, great Dale Earnhardt Sr.
At a news conference in North Carolina, Childress discussed Busch and claimed that when he gazed into the 37-year-eyes, old's he saw No. 3.
"We got to chatting, and we discussed championships. Additionally, we discussed winning races. When I glanced into Dale Earnhardt Sreyes, .'s I saw the expression "Childress clarified.
"We're going to win, he declares. I'd seen that expression before when watching Kyle, and I've been following his career in the Busch Series for many years.
The way he controls a car under security, how he drives, and his attitude toward taking no prisoners.
I was accustomed to racing in the Dale Earnhardt manner. Kyle, in my opinion, races with the same contemporary flair that Dale Earnhardt did in his day."
