DOJ investigates Mike Lindell for identity theft, computer damage

The Justice Department (DOJ) is looking into allegations of identity theft and computer damage against Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow.

An FBI agent took Lindell's phone from him last week as he waited in a Minnesota drive-thru, a move that the Trump supporter is challenging in court.

The DOJ is looking into allegations that Lindell committed identity theft, intentionally damaged a protected computer.

Lindell's legal team filed on Wednesday as part of his lawsuit in the United States District Court in Minnesota.

Documentation suggests that on September 7th, U.S. Magistrate Judge Tony Leung signed off on the warrant.

The magistrate found reasonable cause that Lindell may have violated federal law, and therefore authorised the search and seizure warrant.
