Dallas makes a roster change and cuts WR favourite Dak Prescott

As Dallas gets ready to meet the New York Giants in Week 3, Dennis Houston is being released as part of a roster restructuring.

Dennis Houston's unexpected ascent up the Dallas Cowboys depth chart and onto the 53-man roster is done, at least for the time being.

The Texas native went from being an undrafted free agent to an NFL player who earned the trust of quarterback Dak Prescott.

Dallas is getting ready to play Week 3 against the New York Giants, thus the necessity for Houston's presence has diminished while Michael Gallup tries to recover from offseason knee surgery.

In his three preseason games, Houston only managed three catches for 53 yards; in his regular season time, he only managed two catches for 16 yards.

He did, however, swiftly learn up on Dallas' offensive strategy and establish a good relationship with quarterback Dak Prescott of the Cowboys.
