Canada drops border vaccination obligation Sept. 30.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has approved removing Canada's vaccination obligation by the end of September, an official said Thursday.

Like the US, Canada requires foreigners to get vaccinated. The U.S. requirement won't alter soon.

Unvaccinated foreign passengers permitted into Canada must undergo a 14-day quarantine.

Trudeau has decided to let a cabinet directive requiring COVID-19 vaccinations at the border expire Sept. 30.

The person stated this week the PM needs final approval. The official spoke anonymously because they weren't permitted to comment.

Trudeau's Liberals are contemplating whether to enforce face masks on trains and flights.
