Bubba Watson, a two-time winner of the Masters, decided to switch from the PGA Tour to the LIV Golf series earlier this summer.
His choice to quit the PGA Tour may have an effect on his ability to compete in the major events the following year. Augusta National now permits former champions to compete.
That may alter in the future, though. Watson expressed a divisive viewpoint despite being aware of this.
Being the Masters winner is "strange for me;" we can play in it right now, and I'm hoping and praying they make the right choices, Watson said.
"I sat my kids down and informed them that it's possible we won't be able to travel to Augusta.
Even if I've won there before, if Augusta National says I can't go, I won't go anyhow because that's the incorrect way to look at it.
