Before issuing an apology, Tennis-Andreescu at the U.S. Open reprimands Nike.

Reuters: NEW YORK Bianca Andreescu, a former U.S. Open champion, expressed regret to her sponsor Nike for an on-court outburst

after her attire for Monday's first-round match in the windy conditions got her into some trouble.

The open arena's winds kept blowing Andreescu's skirt up and interfering with her shots as she prepared to play Harmony Tan on the Grandstand court.

As a result, the 22-year-old had to go to the chair umpire and ask for another bathroom break so she could change.

Will this count against my allotted changeovers? She said to the umpire, "I mean, it's not my fault; it's Nike's fault.

Tan was ultimately defeated by Andreescu, who came back wearing a white Nike tank top and skirt, 6-0 3-6 6-1.
