Twenty-four Republican Attorneys general have sent a warning to Visa, American Express, and Mastercard
On the use of a specific code that would identify purchases made at gun retailers.
Twenty-four attorneys general have written to say they would sue if a new merchant code for gun retailers is implemented.
This action is in response to the recent decision by the International Organization for Standardization to establish the code.
There was recently an announcement from all three credit card firms that they had implemented the standard.
American Express, and Mastercard adopt a new merchant category code just developed for gun and ammo retailers.
