Atlanta-area DA wants former Trump top of staff Meadows to testify in election meddling inquiry

The Atlanta-area district attorney overseeing a broad ranging probe into electoral involvement in the 2020 election.

Is calling on former President Donald Trump's chief of staff Mark Meadows to appear before a special grand jury in Georgia.

In court documents filed Thursday, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis described Meadows as a "material witness" to possible election fraud.

 Indicating that he helped Trump arrange a Jan. 2, 2021 call in which the then-president pressured Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

"The witness possesses unique knowledge concerning relevant communications between the witness.
