At Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump recently achieved victory in the FBI investigation.

The past two weeks have been incredibly challenging for Donald Trump. Polls suggest the former president's popularity among his fans has improved since the FBI raided his Florida residence on August 8

but it appears like the bad news emerging from the probe only keeps getting worse for him, especially since his Truth Social platform is also in hot water (via Morning Consult).

The court overseeing the case is apparently considering the GOP leader's request for a special master, which is essentially a third-party, non-partial counsel, so there may be some reason to cheer.

According to CNN, Trump first asked the special master last week to make sure that the personal items the FBI had taken from Mar-a-Lago were given back to him.

Just days after he lost the 2020 election, U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, who was nominated by the previous president and confirmed by the Senate,

ordered the conservative's legal team to provide additional information about why they would require the special master to interfere in the proceedings (via Politico).
