As Hurricane Fiona moves across Rhode Island

On September 23, a Twitter user filmed massive waves crashing towards the coast.

Off the coast of Point Judith, Rhode Island, right now there are some very massive waves.

A video can't even begin to capture the size of these waves, the Twitter user @Eweather13 said as a description for the footage.

Near the beach, the waves were considerably bigger than normal, and the footage showed a surfer wading through them.

After making landfall in Canada on September 24th, Hurricane Fiona cut electricity to thousands, according to CNN.

Numerous houses were destroyed, and the area was left in ruins by the storm.
