When it comes to LIV Golf, the PGA Tour is not playing around.
Bob Garig of Sports Illustrated reports that the PGA Tour has threatened to ban some players on the Japan Golf Tour who participate in LIV Golf tournaments.
This action, according to Harig, helps to explain why a few Japanese players who participated in the most recent LIV Golf competition in New Jersey are not present at the Boston event this week.
Through the end of 2022, every player who has taken part in a LIV Golf tournament this year is ineligible
for all competitions on all PGA Tour-affiliated tours. Whether this will still count in 2023 is unknown.
The PGA Tour is separating itself from the LIV Tour again again with this move.
