Process server: Paxton ran in wife's vehicle to dodge subpoena.

According to an affidavit filed in federal court, on Monday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton escaped his house in a vehicle driven by his wife.

Paxton is being called as a witness on Tuesday for a hearing in a lawsuit filed by abortion rights organisations against the state of Texas.

Ernesto Martin Herrera, the process server, said in an affidavit that he knocked on the door of Paxton's house on Monday morning and a lady who stated her name.

He waited for over an hour until a black Chevrolet Tahoe finally arrived in the driveway.

Herrera recalled meeting Paxton "when I came up the driveway and approached him, calling him by name."

To paraphrase, "he turned around and RAN back into the home via the same entrance in the garage as soon as he spotted me and heard me calling his name out."
