Authorities said Friday that a lady who went missing following severe mudslides in Southern California has been discovered dead.
Following the mudslides, one inhabitant of Forest Falls was still missing. The corpse of the missing lady was discovered on Thursday after
"many days of systematic searching," according to a statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
The Sheriff's Department expressed its hope that recovering Jagiello will help the family of the missing man grieve even if the outcome was not what they had hoped for.
The severe storm forced many to flee, while debris floods down Forest Falls' natural drainage systems and stream beds destroyed homes and obstructed roadways.
The sheriff's department stated that a big debris flow made up of mud and very large stones "raced downhill, overran Jagiello's land
