According to a recent US proposal, airlines would have to disclose fees.

As he introduced ideas for new laws that would require airlines and internet service providers to be more upfront about prices, President Joe Biden blasted airlines for their "hidden surcharges,"

which he claimed drained money from Americans already dealing with rising inflation.

At a meeting of the White House Competition Council on Monday, Biden discussed measures by the White House to combat growing expenses that endanger Democrats' chances in November.

"Junk fees are hitting families at a time when they can't afford it," Biden said.
I'm telling the council to concentrate more on bringing down prices for households, he added.

In accordance with a proposed regulation, airlines would have to provide more information about the costs they assess,

such as those assessed to travelers who cancel their travel plans or to parents who want a seat next to their children.
