Police have advised a German retiree who discovered a plastic bag containing valuable jewels and cash in his yard that he is free to retain all he found.
The guy, whose name and age have been concealed in accordance with local privacy rules.
Discovered the find last November while gardening on his farm in Hanau, central Germany.
It was said that he was trimming a hedge when he discovered a wilted plastic bag hiding below.
The local police who conducted the investigation estimated that the total value of the dozens of gold rings, necklaces, earrings, and jewels.
An expert hired by the police has concluded that the jewellery was made in the United States between the years of 1950 and 1960.
