A Dutch commando who traveled to the US for urban combat training has died
Over the weekend, three Dutch commandos who had flown to the US for military training were shot.
On Sunday night, a commando who was not on duty at the time of the event passed away.The two more guys are "aware and able to talk," according to the Dutch military minister.
The Netherlands' defence ministry announced on Monday that a Dutch commando who was training in the US had passed away after being shot outside a hotel in Indianapolis.
The soldier was critically injured in the shooting early on Saturday morning, according to a statement from the defence ministry, and died Sunday night at a nearby hospital.
Around 3:30 a.m. local time on Saturday, the commando and two of his coworkers were shot and injured in front of the Hampton Inn in Indianapolis.
The shooting took place when all three of the soldiers—all of whom were Netherlands Commando Corps members who had come to the US for military instruction—were off duty.
