Officials from the Border Patrol reported finding a newborn and a toddler who had been abandoned by traffickers.

After a group of migrants were detained on Thursday in Lukeville, Arizona, they found the discovery.

According to local sources, the kids got medical care before being given to Border Patrol custody.

The newborn and toddler were presumably left by traffickers in the Arizona desert, according to US Border Patrol agents.

Agents found the youngsters after a group of individuals were apprehended Thursday for attempting to cross the border near Lukeville, Arizona, 

According to the publication, the 4-month-old baby was found lifeless and face down, while the 18-month-old child was found wailing. 

After being transferred to a hospital, both kids were turned over to Border Patrol custody.
